Lost In The Tsunami by Dorit Silverman is an absolutely well written story. It is hard to put this book down once you start reading it. This story brings back a lot of memories from the tsunamis that have happened in the world. I reviewed this book through Ebookpro and Tomoson. I loved it! 5 stars!
On Sunday, December 26th 2004 there was an undersea megathrust earthquake, off the West Coast of Sumatra, Indonesia. The resulting tsunami was given many names, some including Boxing Day tsunami, Christmas tsunami, Indian Ocean tsunami, South Asian tsunami and Indonesian tsunami. The earthquake was caused when the Indian Plate was subducted by the Burma Plate and triggered a series of devastating tsunamis along the coasts of most landmasses bordering the Indian Ocean, killing over 230,000 people in fourteen countries, and inundating coastal communities with waves up to 100 feet high.It was one of the deadliest natural disasters in recorded history. Indonesia was the hardest-hit country, followed by Sri Lanka, India, and Thailand.
Now maybe you’ve heard of this disaster, or maybe this is your first time hearing about it. Unfortunately not enough was ever written or aired about these such events….
This horrible Tsunami becomes the plot of the story in “Lost in the Tsunami” by Dorit Sliverman. In one moment Anna’s life changed quicker than she could even blink. Her Daughter Ronnie, has disappeared just as the Earth had swallowed her whole.
We follow Anna as she try’s to find her missing daughter. But the problem is Anna doesn’t know where Ronnie went. Was she Kidnapped? Did she leave on her own? Anna goes on a journey she will never forget, following clues from friends and characters she meets along the way. Her Journey takes her to an array of places she never thought she’d be in from nightclubs, exposed to Drugs and Prostitutes, while viewing the beautiful landscapes mysteries of India.
Now we can not forget the main fact that Anna is looking for her daughter who is missing. As Anna searches for Ronnie, she realizes that she may not know her daughter as well as she thought. “Lost in the Tsunami” by Dorit Sliverman, really brings to life on how devastating it must have been for the families who had missing loved ones during that horrible disaster.
